New ticket in Cupertino Chair election, Hopes for professional campaign and election

A new ticket has been announced in the upcoming Cupertino Alliance Chair election. This new ticket has Sertor Valentinus running for Chair and Thorin Neal running for Lieutenant Chair. Valentinus is the current Deputy Minister of International Cooperation and Thorin Neal is the current Deputy Minister of Membership Attainment.

Delegates of the Cupertino Alliance are hopeful for a professional campaign and election this cycle. This election will be the first under the new Charter of the alliance and has already seen reform being passed for campaigning venues. Already, a bill was passed limiting the number of campaigning staff of each campaign to be permitted in campaigning venues. This bill, written by Carson Snyder, entitled the Campaign Channel Access Act limited access to campaigning venues to the Chair and Lieutenant Chair of a campaign and two other individuals. A follow up bill is anticipated to formalize who gives access to the channel and to lay out punishments for those who misuse the channel.

King Announces First Legislative Elections

His Majesty The King announced elections for the Preclusionary Committee on January 8 via Discord, marking the start of the election season in Northwood-Oregon. This comes after the ratification of the Canon Governing Document , Northwood-Oregon's equivalent of a constitution. The Canon Governing Document describes the Preclusionary Committee as the lower house of Northwood-Oregon's legislature, the Northwood-Oregonian Assembly. It comprises elected representatives of the citizenry and is jointly led by the Sovereigns, the co-monarchs of Northwood-Oregon. The Committee serves as a check on the Royal Deluge -- the Assembly's upper house comprising the leaders of KNO member states -- and has the ability to reject legislation previously passed by the latter.
